What Is a Livable Community?
The term means different things to different people. Here’s our definition: “A livable community is one that is safe and secure. It offers choices in where to live and how to get around. And it equitably serves residents of all ages, ability levels, incomes, races, ethnicities, and other backgrounds.”

Global Mayors Challenge
— The annual innovation competition named 15 winning communities (three from the United States) that are being recognized for designing the boldest and most ambitious urban innovations to emerge from the global COVID-19 pandemic. Each city will be awarded $1 million and provided with technical support and coaching over three years to bring its ideas to life.
