The Capacity-Building Microgrants

By combining $2,500 grants with other resources (including AARP Livable Communities publications and coaching from national experts), 75 grantees will start or improve a community garden or assess and enhance the safety and walkability of a street or neighborhood.

The Demonstration Grants

To encourage the replication of promising local efforts, 29 grants will fund projects related to transportation systems change and the creation of more housing options.
