America Is an Aging Nation
— Since 2000, the national median age — the point at which one-half the population is older and one-half younger — has increased by 3.4 years, bringing it to 38.8 years. Speaking of Maine, above, the state has the oldest median age in the nation at 44.7. The “youngest” state: Utah, median age 31.8.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY
The U. S. Department of Transportation is accepting applications for the
Reconnecting Communities Pilot
