A regional transportation collaborative in
Virginia introduced the Gold Seal, a visible
designation indicating that a transportation
provider, such as a volunteer driver, has been
vetted and approved.
Using AARP grants, a community nonprofit in
St. Louis, Missouri, improved several transit
center and bus stop locations by adding
landscaping, seating and shelter from the
weather.
