Tangible projects funded by the AARP Community Challenge are enriching communities of all sizes and types. The grants are not huge (the average is roughly $11,000), but they lead to big results. This is because the projects have been carefully selected to spark long-term progress and fulfill grassroots needs identified by local governments, nonprofits and community leaders.
