Medicaid Cost-Sharing Changes for 41 Expansion States: The Importance of Implementation

But such asset tests may be an unnecessary administrative barrier to enrollment, a new report finds, as assets held by most eligible individuals are few and of low value.

Nursing Home Quality and Safety Dashboard: Winter’s Increased Virus Risk Shown in Numbers

Between fall and winter, reported respiratory illness cases jumped more than 50 percent, while hospitalizations more than doubled, the Q1 update of the AARP Nursing Home Quality and Safety Dashboard shows. COVID-19 cases rose modestly, influenza cases and hospitalizations tripled, and RSV increased sixfold.

March Employment Data Digest: 55-plus Unemployment Holds at 3.3 Percent

While the overall unemployment rate decreased slightly in March, the rate for those ages 55-plus remained at 3.3 percent. Labor force participation for people 55-plus fell slightly, from 37.3 percent to 37.2 percent. Overall, the U.S. economy added 178,000 jobs in March, a reversal from the 133,000 jobs lost in February.
