As banks
and financial institutions consolidate branches, reduce
hours, and close locations, many are expanding their use
of interactive teller machines (ITMs). These machines
allow consumers to connect with a live remote teller via
video to assist with transactions. But while ITMs offer
more features than traditional ATMs, they still fall short
of replacing in-branch services. As new AARP research
reveals, older adults have concerns about ITMs, but they
also see potential benefits.
